Marshall Brune has made a very very generous contribution by donating a spot in his up-coming French Polish class, which will be held March 23 - 25 in their Evanston, IL (near Chicago) studio.

This has a retail value of $750 and his classes are almost always booked full.

Not only is French polish a great finish, but it is one that is perfectly suited to the home and small builder, it is quite, safe, and does not require lots of expensive equipment or hazaderous chemicals.

I encourage you to check out his site at http://www.mebrune.com and his father's site at http://www.rebrune.com

This is is a very special treat and we hope you will take full advantage of it.

And if you want to see how great a french polished guitar can look, check out this image by Thomas Bazzolo. (He is not affiliated with this class, or the Brune's as far as I know, but wow... look how great FP can look).

This auction will end with our typical going, GOING, GONE!!! approach.

Good luck.

That's right. Next Friday. It will be a few weeks before we auction off the time machine.

I assume it is E.S.T.? Brock is there anyway we can get a clock...either something like a count down to or just a regular clock. My clock never seems to coincide with yours/Lances. This way we all are following the same time...can't be that hard can it?

a clock is a time machine... is that what you meant? Dave-SKG38752.7991666667

Patience is a virtue. In 2006, you can expect to see the OLF install *REAL* Auction software.

This is a great class folks. I highly recommend it. You will learn how to do a finish like the one in the pictures below.

wheww! since it's out of the question for me to get a spray booth(thinkin' out loud: maybe in the garbage room?) me thinks i'll have to learn the FP technique one day! Looks like it gives a beautiful shine and mirror effect.

Hey Brock,
Does this prize include airfare, hotel, and a rental car too?

I'll bid $400 to help raise money for the OLF. I'd LOVE to take this class, but I probably will not be able to get to Chicago in March, so SOMEONE OUTBID ME PLEASE!!!

(Don't worry, if I win, I'll fork over the $400 even if I can't make it to the class.)

Marshall said that he would happily exchange these dates with any of the other dates he is offering the class this year.

So you don't have to worry about going to Chicago in March.
