I recently received my first few shipments from Shane at High Mountain Tonewoods and wanted to give him a public thanks. The quality of his Lutz spruce is simply top notch. If you haven’t bought any yet I would certainly recommend you order some. I’m starting a few builds with it next week and I know that Lutz spruce is going to become one of my standard top woods. I also picked up a set of his EIR which was very nice.

I cannot say enough good things about Shane’s great service. He went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with the product. You can be sure I will be a regular customer.

In fact it has always been a pleasure doing business with our OLF sponsors. Thanks to all of you for your great products and service. I look forward to doing more and more business with you guys in the coming years.

Josh

Josh,

I have to agree. I've just thickness sanded a top I got from Shane and not only does it look fantastic, it is one of the stiffest cross grain tops I have handled. it also has a tap tone to die for. I am a diehard European Spruce man but Shane's Lutz it's going to be as good (and hopefully better!!)

Great service as well!!

I bought a bunch of his bracewood & am totally impressed.
Usually "brace wood" is junk nobody could cut into tops. I gave up buying it from other vendors 'cause it was a waste of time & money.
Shane's stuff is straight grained, really well quartered & the runout almost non existent on most pieces & well within a useable standard in the rest.
Oh Yeah... He's a good guy too!

Josh, i'm happy for you, it sems that you purchased the same combination i did and i'm sure that with your talent, you'll produce top notch guitars. Enjoy!

Shane is a true gentleman both as an OLFer and as a sponsor, he also has a great sense of belonging to a community and i'm proud i bought my firt sets from him.

That Lutz spruce was way beyond my expectations and the service was perfect!

Thumbs up Shane!

I also just got my first purchase from Shane. He went the total extra mile when he didn't have to.

Thanks for the glue Shane, will be looking to get some of that Lutz sometime in the future too.
