Hi folks, a while ago i found that thing somewhere at work and thought it'd be useful one day and lately, saw Bruce's florentine cutaway set up, do YOU think that this thing could help me do it ?

Here are 3 pics

There's a nice lever that pushes one part to the other and it's about 6" high, i thought it would be nice to apply pressure while glueing the 2 pieces of that kind of cutaway. I'm sure that thing was designed for another purpose but it'd be nice if i could use it for my endeavour!

TIA

You'd need a bungee strap to hold the handle while the glue dried. One of my favorite dumpster dives: Old bed frames. The angle iron lends itself to many projects.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO.......... Bruce is a dumpster diver...

Is that a summer olympic event?

Just rubbin ya Bruce. I love scrounging (sp?) that's how I get lots of stuff too. Bed frames, what a good idea of angle iron. Thanks

What's the old slogan, Recycle, Reuse, Reclaim? I'm head of the Procurement Dept. at Dickey Guitars.

Thanks for the tip Bruce, i might drill some holes on the lever handle to hook the bungee strap. I guess i'm lucky to be working here, i find all the scrap MDF i need for my jigs too!
