Hi newb here. Building my first Ukelele. I'm going to need to clamp my bridge in place here shortly. I searched the internet and they showed a picture of running a piece of wood over the bridge and across the top and clamping that down. If I have to I can do that . However is there a clamp I can buy that will fit into the hole and clamp it like you would a guitar? How do you guys do it. Really need your expert advice. Thanks Lonnie

Depends on what size ukulele. Deep throat c-clamps work well .

You just need to measure from the bottom of the sound hole to the bridge.. And find an appropriate clamp. The lightweight ones are better.

First, locate the bridge using 1/16" brads so that it doesn't move while you are trying to get it clamped. Some people drill these through the saddle-slot but since I use the tie-through bridge, I drill the outside string locations.
For clamping, I use two pieces of wood with threaded rod at each end wider than the lower bout. The top piece has three holes drilled and threaded for appliance-feet (1/4-20). the center foot is brought up "snug" and the outer feet are tightened down on the wings of the bridge. You do not require any great force to hold the bridge as the glue sets.
