When posting I've been getting the following error.

error '8000ffff'

Catastrophic failure

/luthiersforum/forum/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 307

I assumed it didn't post so I tried again only to find a double post.
Didn't know who to inform so I put it here. Paul

We are trying new fixes. That error seems kind of ominous though huh? :-)

Wow, glad this post wasn't about a guitar

Me too, kind of like old Ebay software, you don't do it right, it loses all your work. Bummer. Sometimes it seems it's worse when editing, it just flat won't let you edit, just kicks out what you did, leaving it like it was. Could be that whereever it is going is busy, and rather than queing up requests just drops them?/????? huh? I don't know but it's aggravating. But Pleassssssssssssssssseeee, don't go back to the old forum software......

I'm getting the same message from the private messenger but the messages seem to be going thru. What a catastrophy

Yeah... the "fixes" don't seem to be helping.

I've had the same problems. I tried emailing and Private Messanger through the Profile screen and got errors both times. But hey, I may be getting old but I can still remember that growing up was sometimes painful.

I'm getting the error message on both forum and private messenger posts, It only started today AM 19th Feb GMT. I just back clicked and ignored it and both messages appear to have been sent. Weird!

I got the same error...the biggest problem is that when you try and resend nothing happens and if you go back (press backspace) your post is no longer there and at which point you have to rewrite it all or in my case try to remember exactly what it is that I said

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Lance, Brock, thanks for all your efforts guys, there literally wouldn't be a forum without you.
