New member of the forum here. I didn't see an "introductions" section so this is my first post. I'm finishing up my second build (first since the late 90's) and for my next project I wanted to build a mosrite style body. This is the only template image I was able to find and it doesn't give much in the way of info....are the bodies really 15x20? That seems kinda big to me....how thick are they would be another question I have. Thanks in advance for any input! Image

Hello Spencer.

Good templates- I've used them. (good idea to use them to make templates too)

Hmmm I meant something to print out and cut my own templates not ordering precut ones. I'm in Canada and shipping anything across the boarder is a pain and costly....and the exchange sucks right now. I guess I'll have to snoop around that other forum. Thanks for the help guys!

Spencer, maybe you can find a PDF on the inner web you can print.
I made several templates by printing sections of the PDF at 1/1 scale and gluing them onto my mdf template board.
Best of luck,
Dan

Or you can make your own.
Find a picture that is a straight on shot. Scale it up until the measurement from the nut to the twelfth fret is 1/2 the scale length. Find a place that can print it out full size and your good to go.

Good call, Steven!
I have heard Kinkos can make large prints.

Here's what I've used a couple of times, I developed it from a photograph.
It's scaled to be printed on a 24"x36" sheet.
