Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has a schematic for a Stratocaster which has three-four wire humbuckers?

There are several configurations depending what components you plan to use:

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wi ... m_1v_2t_5w

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wi ... =3lh_1v_5w

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wi ... h_1v_1t_5w

There are others with P/Ps.

Would there be any difference electrically between the mini's and full-size Humbuckers? Also would the value of the capacitors change when using the full-size compared to using mini humbuckers?

Typically the mini's run 500k pots and 0.22 caps, same as full size.

Thats is kinda what I thought too. Even on the Seymour Duncan web site they said they recommend 500K for Humbuckers. (If I remember correctly) But their diagram is showing 250K

I'm rewiring my Black Beauty 3 complete with new pups. I found a 6 way switch which fits the LPs and looks like the std one. It's called a Freeway. I am also going for a 3V 1T setup. All push-pulls. I'll end up with total control of the combination of pups and switchable from series to parallel.

If you are talking volume pots, use 500k for humbuckers. 250k will knock out some of the high frequencies which is quite noticable.

Yep. Tried this with a LP clone once apon a time and didn't like it. The mini humbuckers are basically just a small bucker, treat it as you would any other pickup of that type. Had a 70s deluxe in battered/bruised wine red for a while, never got on with the minis on the tone side of things to be honest but they do look cool.
My guess is the diagram you are looking at is a mistake dean. Unless for some reason the Seymours need the 250k to make it sound good? Lol anythings possible. If it were me I'd email them.

I am going to use 500k pots. But to add a twist I might use the Seymour Duncan TS-1 Triple Shot Mounting Rings which allow me to turn on/off half or all of a humbucker at will without adding a bunch of switches and wiring.

That's why I just want standard wiring for three humbuckers :-)
