Hey Andy - we'll take a set too! :)

No worries if this is unreasonable but any chance that the first sets can be available and in hand by April 30th for our next fretting class?

Hey Andy, I don't know if it's practical or possible but one improvement to the cauls would be the radius labesl on a spot that's visible while it's in the shoe. Because I often use multiple presses, its hard to keep track of what radius is in what press. I keep marking them with marker or trying to scratch a clear number on the end but it's never worked very well. Maybe a small marking in the very corner of the caul would stay visible above the shoe slot.. Just a thought.

I'll look into this. I'm leaning toward engraving the sizes (or perhaps simply numbering the cauls) rather than stamping so the numbering could be put in the corner. The only thing I'm worried about is that the numbers might need to be small so that they don't go under the shoe at all.

I'll check it out in the next few days and see what it looks like.

Duuuh.... idunno :D Guess that I should read the posts better than I do.... :D

Thanks Andy!

Regarding where the Jaws II will work when fretting say a guitar neck with the addition of a simple jig that Dave Collins created and that we give to our students in their "welcome/tools bag" you can install frets in any location on a guitar neck with the Jaws II and this jig. That's why Dave created it and it works great. I believe that I posted pics of it before when requested likely in one of the threads about our classes.

Hi Everyone.

I just sent an invoice for the deposit out to everyone who's signed up so far. Once the cash rolls in I'll start ordering materials for this. The goal is still to have everything done by the end of the month!

Haven't received my invoice yet - will send as soon as I do.

Edit to add: received and paid. Note to self, it helps to provide a proper paypal email address in these situations.

All right guys! I just ordered up the material for the fret cauls themselves and will get the stuff for the fixtures in the next few days. If anyone else wants a set, I can take about two more before tomorrow and then we'll close off this initial order.

Thanks everyone who's paid the deposit, those who haven't......

I'm going to try to engrave the size along the edge of the radius, about how small a font can I use so folks will still be able to read them easily?

I'm assuming you got my payment Andy.

I can't find the door anymore without an Opti-visor so whatever the size, I'll adjust.

Thanks again.
