As the box is on its way to me... I am unclear on what I am doing about the purfling. It was mentioned that we are using French Purflings, but I am not entirely clear what those are. Is it just a lay up of black and white? I have individual strands of black and white purflings and I could probably just put them on as loose pieces..... can someone 'splain this to me?

Michael would have to tell us where he got these to be sure they are the same. I have cello purfling from International Violin Baltimore and they are identical material, but appear to be wider in the white area.

So, French being bwb with the white smaller than the black. Time to go prospecting. Brock why don't you PM ol' Propsom, you know HiDraw Licks? I asked once before but since he sent some I didn't pursue it.

Lemme go prospecting, I know LMI no go there. Will see if StewMac or Int'l Violin has em.

This sounds like it Brock. My cello purfling similar to Olson in the eighties came from here. These read right. Not at Stewmac or LMII.

Notes:
French style overall thickness approx. 1.3mm, Black 0.6mm white 0.4mm, black 0.6mm

$2.15 each, doesn't state the length, talk to Ken Wise
