Very happy to see you're okay, and I'll echo what everyone else said; take a few day's break from wood cutting and shipping! But I'll add, go make yourself something. Make a business card holder of some snakewood, or make a picture frame for a special photo from some really cool off-cuts I'm sure your shop is littered with. Simple woodworking makes the mind feel gooder..

Now, what was the wood that drew you to Hamilton in the first place? Was it worth the trip? <g>
Mario
Thanks for the advice. I allways new that were weren't the 'Sometimes(often) grumpy maker of fine sawdust"

Mario the trip was worth it. Bought some very nice srtiped QS Macassar Ebony.
Wow, even superman needs a rest some times.
Actually, that's not true.

Take it easy Zootman. We all want you around a good long time, and that has nothing to do with your wood.

I imagine that was a scarry time. Glad you are okay. I'll keep you in my prayers, my friend.

Hey Bob, glad to hear things worked out well. Went through very similar experience 8 years ago while away on business. Mine turned out to be a minor heart attack that required hospitalization in Baltimore and having strange doctor put a stent in one of my arteries. Woke me the heck up!!!!!

I went to the doctor last year for physical and was complaining about getting tired after working hard around the house - his answer "you're getting older - learn to relax a little and don't try to do what you did 20 years ago"

The mind says go and the body sometimes says NO WAY. So I learned to take it easier these days - we all need to stop and smell the roses more often.

See you soon. Doing a trip up to Toronto on the 20th and planning to stop by and pick up that Imbuia if you are around.

Man oh man, I take off for a few days to get some programming done, come back, and find out what you have gone through, Bob!

It sounds like you have not just gotten to where you are feeling better, it sounds as if you know a few steps to take to reduce the stress load on your life (for whatever part of this was due to stress and not wood toxins.) Exercise, fresh air, good food (organic fruits and vegetables and clean water), plenty of rest, quit smoking crack cocaine, and ... wait a minute, one of those things was just plain silly! Of course you're not going to drink dirty water!

Anyway, Bob, do all that good stuff for yourself, and get a massage, and plan a vacation...

Take care!

Dennis
