hi everyone,

i am bummed out,

i just went and spent the first ?1000 i made from my new business on macassar ebony billets for 4pc backs and sides, and i just strung up my new simonds carbide blade(couldnt get hold of lenox Bob) and all ready to cut when, clunk, clunk, fizz, smoke, agggghhhh, run, run , run happened!!

from what i can gather the electric motor brake on my saw has seized and the motor has run against it and burnt out, i'm pretty peaved, as this is an almost brand new Centauro CO600 saw,

On the up side i have been doing plenty of mucking around on my CNC, mainly inlay and stuff, but i'm designing a simple electric as we speak!!

soon world domination

Paddy sorry to hear that. It is very frustrating. I'm sure it is under warranty. Just taking one off and putting the new one on is pretty straight forward. I have never tried a Simmons band saw blade but have used their other blades. Good Luck

You have all my attention Paddy, what a PITA when things don't run smoothly or as planned, it's just a delay my friend and as Bob said, i'm sure too that the warranty will cover it up!

Good luck friend

Serge
