Just a note, my younger sister is a Custom Cowboy Hat builder, (Stemwinder Custom Hats) she has a shop in the stockyards in Oklahoma City. She used alot of mothballs in her stockroom and developed some real health problems as a result. It seems the poision gets in your system and takes forever to depart. So, if you are planning to use mothballs around your house, be careful, I think shooting or trapping them would be a better alternative.

Serge, do you think my fretting hammer is too small?

I haven't even seen the critter yet, just the devastation to my lawn. If I could see him/her I would shoot it.
I like Dave's idea of making an ovation from the shell, so maybe I should take him alive.

Ron

Ron, once you catch it, and remove the shell for your new Ovation design, you can also boil it down, make a stew, and then use the bone for some unique nuts and saddles (seen a number of thread on giraffe, pet store bones). Tan the skin for some leather caul coverings and before you know it the entire animal has been used in your guitar building plus a healthy meal, I here they are a little greazy like possum, but taste like chicken!
