I tried logging in after my last post and got the same error as you did Todd. Sent an email to the list admin and he emailed me saying he would email me again later to let me know something.

Haven't heard any more from him since the first email though.

Got an email back from Mario this morning. The forum now had a subscription fee. The email includes a link to PayPal so you can sign up.

I think I'll pass. There's plenty to read here at the good ol OLF.

I found this great neck adjuster on a 1934 Kay Wood Amplifying Guitar.

It's for sale on the Players Vintage Instruments website.

Yes, this is correct. Mario Da Costa (the owner of that site) began charging a $20/yr subscription fee, with current members exempt for now. He's calling it a "members plus" and trying to take the sting out with discounts on tonewood purchases. He informed the members evidently a few days after implementing the new fee.

I'll reiterate that Grant Goltz, who is a member here as well as there, is very good about sharing info, and I'm sure he'll eventually post some info here regarding his adjustable neck system. It's too bad there's a gate at the door of that other forum, because this topic was covered very well, across many posts, in multiple threads. It will take quite an effort to duplicate that info here.

Hey Grant, what about the possibility of making a DVD showing the process? I'm sure you could sell it here.

Dennis

I will try to get the basics up here as soon as I get caught up on some things. I have a bunch of wood to resaw and send out, and I need to make that a priority for a week or two. Then I will get at it. Yes, some formal cocumentation, DVD or something would be great. Maybe look into that, but I am up here in the middle of the woods and don't have a clue about such things

Hey Grant, to do your DVD, you may need to start binding with a different kind of holly-wood

Cheers
