The topic "post a reply" form and the PM "send/reply" form is the same except there is is no "file upload" feature in PM so it's a bit more of a pain. You can however use the same notation (or select the Img button) to include an image inline provided you have a URL:

[img]PASTE_IMAGE_URL_HERE[/img]

When posting on the general site, I need to modify my photos to reduce the pixels, because the host (?) cannot handle all the data.
