The other guitar that Raj Spolia broght round last night (see Ramirez Steel String thread) was his new guitar made by British maker Rob Aylward. The workmanship and detail on this guitar was stunning and it sounded great with the projection you would expect but good sustain as well. I'm always keen to spotlight the work of British makers so here are some pics:

The proud Raj with the guitar showing the European spruce top. The guitar is 12 frets to the body join:

Some killer ziricote on the back:

Intricate rosette that probably took as long to make as some people take to make a guitar!:

Headstock. neat touch as the A is Rob's normal inlay, and it now became Raj!:

I just love the way Rob has used a Claro walnut neck that just blends beautifully into the ziricote back:
