To those who build children's or half size guitars: where do you get your truss rods?

I'm looking for a 350–365mm truss rod for a build and the only option I've found is a dual action mandolin rod but it's through ebay and comes from China, so isn't ideal.

I'd happily build my neck to match a trust rod if they're so elusive but perhaps you have some ideas.

One of the reasons I switched to Mark Blanchard for truss rods is that he’ll make them any length you want — all same price.

Not the cheapest rods, but arguably the best on the market:

Or not at all. If you use regular tuning on a guitar with 18" scale length, your string tension goes way down. You end up with tension closer to a classical guitar and less length to bow. If you are concerned, a single 1/8" x 1/4" carbon fiber rod should be enough to keep the neck straight. You can cut those to any length you need.

Thanks for the answers, that's what I needed to know. I wasn't aware of the concept of a 12-fret truss rod and if I only need a carbon fibre reinforcement rod then I can save a little time in making a truss rod nut accessible and streamline the headstock design too.
