Yes, everyone have a safe and happy holiday break. Hope Santa brings you that absurdly expensive tool you’ve been pining over. :)

Season's Greetings to all, have a great day.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

May you all enjoy your holidays, and be blessed with sufficient RH as it turns colder!

Merry Christmas all, we've got a bit of a white Christmas this year.

Sunny days like Colin showed would be nice. We woke up to a little snow on the deck, and have had really fine flurries continually all morning. The road to front doesn't seem that good, but we don't have to go anywhere. Imagine that.
Our youngest just announced her engagement yesterday, so this year is not a total loss.

Merry Christmas to everyone, and maybe next year will surprise us in a more pleasing way. The snow doesn't look terrible, and it is fairly bright. One has to see the bright side.

It's raining here in Seattle (surprise!) and while my wife and I are celebrating alone this season, we're very fortunate all things considered, and are looking forward to the new year. As John Lennon sang, "Let's hope it's a good one ..."

Best to you all,

Merry Christmas everyone, and best wishes for a better 2021!

Nice snowfall last night for a white Christmas morning - and a great reason to spend some time in the shop! Cheers!
