I've yet to build my first one (workin' on the kit, though) but it would have to be Keaggy. (Sutton would be in my top 5 though).

Michael Gulezian, or Don Ross, or Pierre Bensusan.

That's the best I can do; I got the short list down to three!

For me it would have to be Stein-Erik Olsen from Norway. I build classical guitars and not only is he one of the best classical guitarists in the world but has also performed alot more contemporary classical works than most other classical guitarists.

If I were to build electrics, it would have to be Santana, or Satriani. Those guys just rock.

Keaggy is the one who brought me to acoustic guitars, so it would have to be him.

But realy, the last guitar I delivered to my very good friend JP Vooys was a real treasure, cause he sure makes it sound good and his songs are all original pieces. I could listen to him for days on days. So, maybe I have already fulfilled a great dream as he will do me right by what he does with it.
If I was to pick a deam artist to exclusively play my guitars,it would be James Taylor, or maybe Steve How of Yes fame
I don't sell my guitars, but give away the spare ones to 'deserving' people. But I have to agree with Michael, Steve How of Yes was always my guitar hero, the guy I tried to emulate in my old Prog rock band in the 70s. Probably the most underrated all round guitar player of all time, in the best band.

But if Martin Carthy asked me build him a guitar.....
John . Maybe Leo Kottke.
I almost said John McLaughlin. Years ago I went to a pop festival show in Nashville that featured rock and pop icons on acoustics. I don't even remember the song but John McLaughlin and Berry McGuire together both on 12 string

Guy van Duser. I'd even make a nylon string for him if he wanted one.

I'm biased because he's a friend, but still no question for me;
Woody Mann
Also a friend and running a close second would be:
Mike Dowling

I believe the only way is to post a link to the site and location of the file.
