I’ve been building guitars for over twenty years. Several years ago I built an OM out of quilted mahogany from “the tree”. It was a set I had purchased from RC Tonewoods. Great sounding guitar, the densest mahogany I’ve ever worked with. I now have a potential customer who would like a guitar made from “the tree”. There’s a website thetreeguitarsets.com that is selling sets supposedly from “the tree”. They’re gorgeous but are they for real? Does anyone know anything about this guy?

You might also check with Allied. Pretty sure they have some.

FYI, Not all of the Tree sets are quilted. Many are actually QS sets.

Jay Howlett, username Blablawoofwoof is the main purveyor of Tree sets. I don’t know who is running that site but Jay is a trustworthy guy to deal with. He has supplied Allied, LMI, StewMac, Breedlove, Taylor and many individual luthiers.
