Does anyone here sometimes get P.O. at masking tape?

cutting it even & clean
sticking to your fingers?
Have it peal up after you made sure it was put on right!

The list is long!
Just me I guess -messing it all up & doing it wrong!

Mike

I love masking tape. I have probably 10 different kinds for different purposes. And I have found lots of applications for tape including layout, work holding, finish protection, etc, etc.

I have found that masking tape can be very frustrating. I have learned to always buy the 3m and not to buy too big a stock so that the rolls I use aren’t too old. Age seems to make the tape want to stick to itself and tear off in fragments rather than pulling free intact. I use a lot of the 3m 2060–it pulls hard enough to do binding and it won ‘t damage lacquer like the blue.

Speaking of a handful of masking tape....
Masking tape is your friend! The last use I made of it was last Wednesday when I sliced through my middle finger horizontally about an half inch with a razor knife. oops_sign I bled like a stuck pig. I grabbed the masking tape laying on the bench and pulled the wound together with a couple of strips of tape. I left it on there for a day before replacing it with Band-Aids to not disturb the cut and hopefully avoid getting stitches. So far, so good!

And CA was originally created as a surgical glue for military field medics to hold injuries together...
