Since joining OLF I've...

... learned where to get inexpensive go-bars!
... learned to control my French polish!
... figured out how to make more elaborate uke sized rosettes! (I know, the hole needs some tuning up)

... joined ASIA and have begun a collection of Guitarmaker Magazines
... learned that all of us make mistakes and that most can be fixed!
... learned that there are other luthiers in Indiana!
... been inspired to get into the shop every day and cook up new projects.
... purchased wood, tools and materials from small operators who care about my work and ship fast!
... found new outlets for marketing and selling work!
....I'm sure that there are many moe..but you get the point.

Thanks guys! Ain't this fun??!!

Good observations, Geoff!

Looks like the Pear Bear is no longer contained in the OLF! How can we stop this spreading menace? Maybe mothballs.

Yeah, you all do have my most attention huh? Ironicly, besides the OLF, believe it or not, i'm a really quiet and shy person, must be that special bond that i share with ya all for going through the same highs and lows, the same wood addiction, that no other ordinary person can understand but ya all!

Not only do i post like a mad man, i also PM some of you, copy/paste a lot of great info from all of you .

My wife is sometimes worried that if the internet was to crash down that i'd start drinkin' again!

I love this group and it's no secret, i just wish i had half the patience and the talent a lot of you have but for my next builds guys, i do want to make ya all proud!

Regards

Serge

No doubt, this place is an interactive encyclopaedia of luthiery knowledge!
Its invaluable, and I can see from some of the so called "newb's" beautiful pieces....that the OLF makes it hard to go so awry, that you can pull out of the tailspin, if youve made a boob.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to type.
Cheers
