Used to get notifications about PMs by email, haven't had one since May last year and wondering if I need to switch them on and off, and how to do that?
I've looked and can't find.
Also, has anyone experienced a delay in PMs to your page appearing late, i.e. some days after they were sent?

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Me too I never see a notification anymore. I believe there is a switch (software) in our settings or profile but I never turned mine off either.

The forum software is pretty long in the tooth...

I just looked at the settings and PM set-up controls and I don't see any switch to turn on and off PM notifications. It could be there but I'm not seeing it.

The sending email address for those was / is - lancekragenbrink@gmail.com

I was recently contacted by someone trying to register for the forum, had an issue with registration, and had sent email there but didn’t get a response. If that mailbox is full or if the google account password associated with it has changed it could cause the automated forum messages to fail.

I don’t have any way to contact Lance other than PM and the lancekragenbrink@gmail.com address. :)

Colin

I just got the PM you sent me (thanks much!). It looked like you sent it yesterday so OK there. Though if my earlier one to you took several days there must be some issues.

I try and check for PMs every day.

I also sent you back a new one so you can see how long it takes to show up.

I've posted on facebook to let Lance know, see if he can fix it.
I've had nothing since August last year.

I haven't been getting notifications for anything on this forum for a long time. I went through all the settings and couldn't find anything that would fix it.

I’m pretty sure the email address for the forum is either a full mailbox or changed password.

New people signing up for the forum are not getting the email to activate their user account as well. I’m guessing it’s all tied to the same issue with the gmail address Lance used for the forum.

If anyone has a way to contact Lance and let him know that would be great. Especially if new users cannot get into the forum.
