This came up last night, listened to it this morning. Very nice. The performance is top notch. I like it better than the cello suites.

What is the thing that she has on the treble side? It looks like some sort of stand, but it moves quit a bit. Never seen anything like it. Another I showed, had a hand guard on the bass side that I've never seen or heard of.

She has a leg support on the treble side. Is that what you are referring to? Those are most common on classical guitar trained players.

Yes, that's it. Sounds like an idea like a shoulder rest on a violin. Something to help hold it so your hands don't have to do it all.
I've never seen, or heard of it.

The way I build, the list is far enough out already! I am going to start stringing up early, as part of tuning. I'd like to know how the sound and setup will be.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
