Just won the right to order the lone Trinity Dumble Amp kit that is available now and I'm thrilled to get it and get started. There is a waiting list for these and I was on the list and someone defaulted on payment. So the next three on the list were contacted and I responded first and won the right to purchase this available kit.

It's 22 watts but can be run at 44 watts with different power tubes. This will be amp kit number 6 for me as I have already built all five StewMac kits and loved the experience, it's very, very fun! All my amps that I built are in use here when my friends come over and we jam.

Right now my personal goto amp is a 1966 Deluxe Reverb clone that I built and it's awesome and a great match for my pedal board.

My hope is the Dumble clone will give me that fat mid range that made these amps sell for over $100K and be coveted by owners like Robben Ford, Carlos Santana, Eric Johnson and others.

Can't wait to get started Yoo Hoo!! bliss :D

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Yep they must have to change the name slightly to not infringe on a copywrite but I am guessing.

Shane from the OLF who used to sell us that wonderful Lutz is a Facebook friend and he just let me know he ordered one too.
