Larry Presnall welcomed me to his shop today. He was kind enough to
help me sand some sides, a back, and a soundboard on his
reDONKulously large drum sander. He also bent my sides for me in his
bending machine. He also lent me his OM form so I could use and copy
it. AND he sent me home with one of his older bending machines!

Only thing I was able to do in return for him was pass along some love
from Walter K. in the form of an extra extra (and no, that's actually not
redundant) fingerboard he sent me.

There's still a ways to go on this build, but Larry definitely got me over
the hump and I feel like it's downhill from here!

Many thanks to Larry, as well as many thanks to Lance et al for creating
and maintaining the OLF community!

Jay

Way to go Larry, what a guy!!
Thats the way the torch gets passed to the next gen of luthiers,
Thanks to everyone who is helping me get started out on the right foot as well!
Special thanks to Jeff at Brazil Tonewoods, for his advice, for allowing me a wide berth on deciding which methods I would like to use, for his patient answering of my tedious questions, and his gracious donation of wood for building! You Rock!
Cheers

Man John! Soon as I get back out to OKC, we gotta go there AGAIN! That food makes me wish I was Cajun I guarantee!

Really, if any of you OLF'ers are out that way, John's a hoot! And very talented and informative, and owner of a plethora of ball caps!

Since this is cyber space and you guys can't throw things at me perhaps OLF should stand for "Official Love Forum?"[/QUOTE]

I think they last did that at Woodstock Hesh!
