Gold bends a lot easier. With the higher density in the sides, it would make a louder guitar.

Brazilian bends with a bit of warm breath... seriously, one of the easiest woods to bend provided adequate heat - less than you think - is used. A paper and foil sandwich keeps the resins from getting all over the slats. I am on the last of my stock of BRZ bridge blanks milled from a $220 Ebay billet that got us 16 standard belly and ten rectangular/pyramid blanks in 2020. Given my grocery bill has doubled and every dollar in my 401K is worth just 80% of what it was a few years ago, I hate to even look at what similar BRW billets are running.

I have made 3 guitars from "the tree" and I agree the wood is pretty but it didn't make a guitar that sounded any better than most other mahogany guitars.
This is over priced in my opinion. I personally wouldn't buy it at that price.

Last December, Larsen came out with gold wound strings for violin to gain power. The review on this site said that the strings are expensive; but cheaper than upgrading his violin!

Going with double sides can ease the pucker factor. Especially cutaways. You can bend a lot thinner.

A friend of mine showed me a recent article in Smithsonian magazine about wood from The Tree. Such articles seem to come back around every few years. I said to my friend that, while it is very pretty wood, there is probably nothing magical about its tonal qualities, and certainly nothing magical enough to justify the crazy price.

To recycle a joke I think I shared with John during Covid about expensive tuning gears: I would be better off using less expensive wood and taping $8,000 to the inside of the guitar.

Me either - you can purchase a brand new Collings I-35 with Throbaks on it for that price and have some chump change left for dinner.

And while you're at it why not laminate the back too! 3 layers of matched veneer can save some time and money.
