Are you on a paid Yahoo.com mail account? Because last I checked, only paid account users have access to the POP mail servers, ergo only paid users can set up an account in outlook. I don't know of any free email services that'll let you use a third party mail client other than webmail.

What's the big deal about using plain 'ol Yahoo's web interface, though? Copy the email address, and proceed as normal.

Also, if you're gonna use ANY microsoft product to connect to the internet (that includes your operating system) make doubly sure you're secured, updated, virus-scanner activated and that the firewall's up and running.

Thanks,
Now I understand. I am using the freeloader account. Believe me, I have every protection feasable including a gentleman with a machine gun over my shoulder.
Thanks again

There is a connector for Outlook and Outlook Express that can handle any http: or https: mail source.

Regarding connecting ANY machine to the internet, no matter what the platform, OS or application you should make sure that it is secured, updated, virus-scanner activated and using a personal firewall.

Yep. And with MS, make DOUBLY sure. Because the vast majority of all crackers and viruses are designed to exploit the big gaping holes in Windows OS and software, simply because it's the most used platform.
