Hey,

There is a local wood store closing up shop (Windsor plywood, Surrey, BC location) and they have a ton of exotic's in many different sizes.

I didn't have much time to rumage through their stuff, they had some large planks of wenge 1"x10"x5-10', plus lots of other stuff.

Now, they had a big piece of honduran mahogany, 4" thick x 10-1/2" wide by 9' totaling 31.5 BFT. This could potentially render a large number of neck blanks and back and side sets.

The sale price is $11.19 (can) per BF so that works out to $352.49 for the board plus 14% tax.

So, I'm wondering if any of the local BC boys are interested in buying this board together.

I'd pick it up, maybe Jason would cut it up into b/s neck blanks or what have you.

Send me an email to rodtrue at shaw dot ca if there is interest.

It looked more quartered than flat, but I will need some time to take a better look, it was hard to see the top end at 9' and too heavy to look at the bottom end . I'll go check it out on the weekend.Rod True38834.7058680556

Gee, not that others here wouldn't be interested. How rude of me.

Anyone else interested let me know. I'll get the board and talk to Jason to see what we can get out of it.

You'll just have to pay shipping of course.
