Well after a nail biting 3 hours roller coaster, in one of the best Cup Finals for many a long year, my team Liverpool just won the cup on a penalty shoot out. No team deserved to lose so Kudos to West Ham

I know there's at least one other OLF 'pool fan out there that will be joining me in a few celebration bevvies today!!!!

English football has been big in Norway for ages; I grew up with Kevin Keegan, Ray Clemens and Kenny Dalglish. We all traded football cards and followed matches on TV; most boys had their favorite teams and so on. Most professional Norwegian football players are in England, I believe Riise still plays in Liverpool. My favorite team was not the Reds, by the way...

As Bill Shankly, Liverpool's greatest manager said:

'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death.
I'm very disappointed with that attitude.
I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'

I was working out at some friends' house all day yesterday so I had to tape it
an watch it last night. Had some friends over and spent a longer, more nail-
biting evening than expected, but what a match! This truly was one for the
ages. Hats off to the Hammers. It's a shame the old replay system still isn't
in place. I hated seeing it go to penalties, and I certainly would have been up
for watching these two teams battle it out again.

Cheers,
-Dave
