Maybe my little story is no reflection of the depths of despair that Kurtz must have felt, reaching deeper into the Heart of Darkness, but still...

I just bought a new batch of Hide Glue from Lee Valley.   I set about adding some distilled water to my granules when right away I can tell something is amiss. There are bubbles rolling about and the concoction is starting to turn a vile, if not worrisome, green.

After a while all the water is absorbed and I decide to heat it up. As it's melting, the most fetid stench is starting to permeate my whole shop. I will try not to nauseate you, gentle readers, with an explicit account of what abominable apparitions I witnessed in my hotpot; suffice it to say that the monster from the black lagoon would of been proud...

Today when I mustered enough courage to open my glue cotainer, through the wafting fumes, I swear I saw it wink at me!

Sounds like you got either the fish glue, or the ectoplasm glue. I'm betting on the latter.

Alain, it was a great day until now. Excuse me while I go puke! I've had it grow hair after a couple months in the fridge, but yours sounds like the glue was bacteria-laden with something funky!

Thank goodness! This story wasn't meant for me!

Ladies and gentlemen,
The monster,
Which the peasants in this area call frunobulax
(apparently a very large poodle dog)
Has just been seen approaching the power plant
Bullets cant stop it
Rockets cant stop it
We may have to use nuclear force!

Got a great big slimey thing
Got a great big heavy thing
Got a great big poodle thing
Got a great big hairy thing

Cheers
Charliewood
