Thanks to all for your great encouragement and support!

Thanks Bruce , i appreciate it!

Rich, you bet i was excited when i unwrapped it from the blue tape! Was doing an old French dance called "la stepette" ! Yeah, routing for the bindin/purfling is next on the list, gotta build me that jid that Arnt posted a pic of!

Bob, i'll try very hard!

Thanks for the encouragement Andy, i owe you one!

Dave, i don't know yet, i would probably have to use purple heart for a laminated neck, not sure if it would look good, what i will do is wait untill i'm really sure it looks ok with the other appointments.

Alain buddy, get back in the shop, you got lots of awesome wood waitin' for you! Thanks

Thanks Micheal, i appreciate that also!

Shane, thanks to you a whole lot bud, yeah, the first French song that i will sing with it will be " Au bord du lac Bijou"! from a Louisiana French Cajun guy called Zachary Richard! Yeeeeaaaaheeeeeeeeee!

Thanks Al, i started building your jig this morning, according to the plans you provided here, all the pieces are cut, it will be pretty useful in the coming weeks! Thanks again mon ami!

Thank you very much Robbie!

Thank you very much Ron, what kind of neck would go well with that dear southern buddy?!!!

Should i go with just plain mahogany all the way thru or a laminated one made of mahog/ puple heart/ mahog , can you visualize my dilemma?

Serge

Serge that's beautiful, and I love the idea of using the radius dish as the caul for gluing on the top/back. I'll be filing that in the ol' bag of tricks.

I think my next guitar will be EIR.

I've only used mahogany, although I do have a mahogany/maple laminate sort of made. I think the purpleheart would really look good with the rosette. Go for that. IMO.

Thanks Coe, Pete, Bill, Kyle,R oss, Mike and Ron!

you sure all know how to keep that Pear Bear motivated!

Bill, thanks,EIR is great wood to work with for a novice like me, easy to bend and smells great when you bend it, it sounds great when you tap tone it and i've played a few guitars that wood as Back & Sides and they all sounded great !

Thanks Ron, i do have planks of mahogany that i think would be suited for this kind of job, i'll check this out as an option if i still have enough purple heart left. the appointments would all be purple heart then!

Thanks bud!

Serge
