A while ago there was a thread named "on your workbench" and I promised to show off one of teh guitars then. So, a few weeks ago I strung this little lady up.

It's braz/italian, 15", 25.4" scale. The braz was a bargain on an old furniture factory, I bought a few planks (not very wide) and hope to get back there soon... It sounds deep, well pronounced, and fairly loud as well.

Do you see the face in the back? Lars Rasmussen38864.5864236111

Lars,

That is fabulous My kind of guitar - curvy, elegant and letting the gorgeous wood do all of the talking. Great artistry there and I bet it sounds great too.

Man I love how you used the back and endgraft to reference each other. That's class. Beautiful guitar.

Outstanding Lars!!

I like the triple back.
What's the little chingadera on the fret board, I can't quite make it out!

Lars,

That BRW is spectacular! Was it difficult to get the three piece back symmetrical? Love it!!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I'm really flattered That means I'm on the right track i guess..?

John: Hehe... Well I have another set just like this, and hope to get some nice ones out of the other planks. plus several bridges, a couple of fingerboards, headstockveneers, bridgeplates etc.. from now on I'll try to get as much of my wood as possible from planks, its a really satisfying job to resaw, and it saves a lot of money in a tight budget too...

Billy: The little thingy on the fingerboard is a R for my last name, just a standard font from Andy dePaule. I attached some pics. When I get the time and inspiration I'll probably design my own, but its kindof tricky to get it right.

Pete: No it wasnt much harder to get that back symmetrical than a regular back, I just worked around a centerline as usual. It was a lot of work with the mitres though...
