Yes Mon,

And once you get the water temperature up in that baby, your hhg stays sweet all day long. Mind you finding the right sized glue bottles . . . Also keeps a pepper pot stew going for a long time too

Here is a picture of me playing my old Harmony Soverign. I keep it at my sisters house in Colorado so i'll have something to play when I go out there. It was given to me several years ago by an old family friend who said he thought he bought it back in the '50's, but he wasn't sure.

Arnt, This is a great thread, I really like old (and new) band and stage pictures! No, I didn't get to keep any of those suits. All the outfits we wore were made by Nudie Cohen in Hollywood. You wouldn't believe how many costume changes we made... different colors/styles for each show and sometimes there were 5 shows a day. Some of the band suits were very gaudy, with color-matched boots and hats.

When Judy retired she auctioned everything in her Vegas warehouse and a wealthy San Diego lawyer bought most of the suits. My pal Debby Bull wrote a great book about the world of country & western costumes called 'Hillbilly Hollywood'. There's a pic of Judy in it- she's standing with Earnest Tubb and Little Jimmy Dickens.

Mark, that's some exquisite fretboard inlay on your guitar. Very, very nice work!

Michael, those acrylic toms were called 'octo-bons' or something like that. They were tuned to different notes and it took a talented drummer to take advantage of their sound.

OK guys, This is an oldie. I’m 19, playing my carved double neck and makeshift slide guitar made out of a 2 by 4.
I’m likely trying to play an Almond Brothers tune or Pink Floyd or something. Back when we learned music from albums. Remember Albums?

Yeah Wade, i remember albums on a turn table! I tried learning Big Sandy from an album of Doc & Merle Watson back at the beginning of the 80's and succeded, the hardest part was to bring the needle back to where you were and memorize the notes in your head, not mentionning having to tune your guitar the same way as the guitars on the album and all of that by ear, no notes!

I guess i 've been practicing patience for long time now!

Here's one that was just taken last weekend when my mom was here visiting. Not such a good picture because of the back lighting from our living room windows, but I thought you might enjoy the three generations aspect of it. My mom is playing her harp, my daughter is playing her little lap harp, and I'm playing a recently completed guitar. It's really fun accompanying my mom on all these cool tunes she plays on the harp.

Anyone else notice that Jimmie looks a lot like Bobc in that picture. Probably couldn't tell them apart in a bikini.    Hesh?

Ron, the pictureless guitar player. I have a couple with the banjo but they aren't digitized and I don't have a scanner. So just imagine a very handsome dude playing a beautiful handmade guitar. That's me!
