12 Fretter Finally DONE! (pictures inside)

Well, aside from cutting a FWI Nut and Saddle, which scares the bigebbers outa me, she's done!
I have a sweet Tor-tis pick guitar to go on it as well but im going to wait until the last minute to put that on, giving the lacquer as much time as possible to cure out.

First impressions, after being strung up for a week now, this guitar sounds incredible, lots of power which I suspect is part of it being a 12 fret dread.
It plays well, although with an 1 7/8ths nut its hard for me to get a good feel.
To big for my hands.

My client will be picking this guitar up in person. I'm looking forward to that, all my other guitar have been delivered UPS or FedEx and I've never gotten the pleasure of actually handing someone there guitar.

Thanks for looking!

Awsome dude

I was a bit worried at first I thought I saw glue squeeze out on the seam graft but it was just a speck on my screen. But had me worried. MichaelP38876.3998032407

Dave here is the pick guard just sitting in place, the white backing is still on it so the finish is not showing through which is one of the thing I like best about these pick guards, there semi translucent .

Very nice Lance, John is getting a real winner. Is that purfling from BobC? I got some that lloks like that and had a little trouble bending the sandwhich without getting wrinkles in the inside lines.

Your usual high build standard Lance, Don't you just love slot heads. I bet your customer will be delighted and the 12 fret format should make it more player friendly.

Lance, awesome workmanship, i especially admire people who can inlay such a long name on a peghead and this brings a question if you don't mind. Do you have your name made already cut or do you cut it yourself and inlay it?

If you do cut it yourself, it must take a lot of patience to both cut it with a jeweller saw and then scribe it on the peghead to then inlay it?

How many hours just to do that please?Serge Poirier38876.5524305556

Lance, that's just beautiful. I'm not afraid to come out of the closet and
say I love sunbursts (there, I've said it!). The whole thing is just pristine.
And if it sounds good now, think where it'll be in a couple of months. I
think one of the most rewarding things about this guitar building thing is
handing over an instrument to the new owner for the first time. It's the
"Big Payoff!" All the pain and suffering we go through (albeit willingly) just
melts away.

On a side note, it's a good thing your name isn't any longer or you'd have
to make your headstocks much wider
Craig S.
