Mattia, I have an 8 x 12' setup and no pictures to show but here is layout I drew up using the Grizzly site.

The only thing I can't squeeze in is the drum sander but all tools are on wheels anyway.
Also, shelves above the tools hold my molds and forms.
The combo table saw/router also works as downdraft sander
and spindle sander (Porter Cable on a plate). As Hesh has
shown, its amazing what you can squeeze in a small space.
Will be even better when I get the computer out of the
closet.Don A38875.7846990741

Hesh--Thanks for the report. I realize that $400 (give or take) is a lot of bucks for a vacumn but sounds like it's a fine machine.

A few pics of my 6 x 3 m (sorry we went metric down here in '67)
workshop. Most of the action happens on the bolt on extension attached
to the main bench. This can be removed if required. The workshop is the
"clean" work area...all dirty work happens next door in the 9 x 6m garage, this is where all the machinery lives.

Mattia, I thought of you when I saw this on Mandolin Cafe. I is just barely bigger than yours and he doesn't have any big machines (and I'm not sure about the bench arrangement), but check it out:

Heh. Cool! It's a little roomier than mine, and quite a bit cosier (As in, it ain't brick with no windows, but some paint will take care of this. Hopefully I'll get some stuff done this weekend in the wall-painting-putting-in-lights-planning department). I've got a few scribbles down, but I think I'm actually going to play with cardboard surface area cutouts to lay out the floor space itself, make sure I don't box myself in too much. I'm thinking white walls and melamine bench surfaces for most bits, maybe a bit of color here and there just to keep me from going too stir-crazy if/when I'm working indoors in the winter.
The BS also rolls; it's moved out from behind the TS rail for each use.
The BS tends to roll in my shop too, on occasion. Any one else?

Any one else what, the rolling stuff, or more pics?

I like these shop pic threads almost as much as ones with the "just strung this up" pics.

Hmm... one of those tops in Lance's workshop looks very familiar... hahaha... :-) Thanks everyone for sharing the pictures. This is a great thread, as I'm biding my time until someday I buy that house and set up shop.
