Well, heck. It ain't over 'til it's over....

But it's almost over. Can't say we didn't give it our best shot! We sure can say that Jimmy finished a VERY strong second!

A "BIG Thanks" to everyone who gave Jimmy a shot at winning...

He was outmatched by fanatical Maine Coon humans, who obliterated the rest of the competition yesterday.

When I went to bed Saturday night, Jimmy was ahead by 250 votes. When I got up in the morning around 8, he was down by 200. That number quickly grew to almost 700 during the afternoon. When the final tally was in, he lost by 603 votes.

Suggestions have been logged to the CFA organization to open the voting up completely to make things more interesting and competitive. They're going to think about it, if there is a next time on this.

Apparently, the whole point of the award was to get people to visit their website and gain some exposure for the organization. They were very pleased that so many people outside of the "crazy cat people" world visited the site, if only to vote for a "Kitty Idol".

Makes me wonder if we should have a "Builder Idol of the Month" on the OLF. We could vote for the guitar & builder that was posted during a month that we all liked best, and that person could get a big Tub O' Lard or maybe even something better.
