Hey, I just about fretted a f/b today and realized at the last second that the markers weren't in!! That's because I don't have any in the size I need! I'd order them, but I'm hoping for a quick save here...anyone out there have the following they'll sell me?

(1) 9/32"
(3) 1/4"
(4) 3/16"

Prefer MOP but will take Paua or Green Ab...

Thanks!!

Larry, if you`re up to making them yourself, check out the local blue borg in the fabrics and craft dept.

I am thinking that

1. There is a store called the Blue Borg somewhere
2. In the craft and fabric department they have some raw materials or stock that can be used to cut whatever it is you need from the pearl.

I would guess that the Borg is not a "Collective" in these areas but rather a craft hobby type store like a Michaels or Hobby Lobby which we have down here.

Just trying to help translate

I have some 2.35mm. If you can use them, I'll send what you need your way. I have paua and white mop.

Larry I probably have some also, in both and in a bunch of different sizes. I have a supplier and keep thinking about adding these items but am not sure of the market so I just keep a few around for occasions like this. Let me know if you are stuck and we can help you out.

Shane

Sorry for not replying any sooner, folks. A special young lady got me sidetracked for a bit (in the good ways).
What I was referring to is Wal-mart (I hate advertising for these guys, but the convienience is too available).
In the fabrics and crafts dept. you can get paua and mother of pearl materials in small quantities. Just look in the beads and stuff. Be picky, the bags are clear so you can see what you`re getting.
I made fret marker inlays for my fb out of paua. Alot of tedious work, but it turned out ok for my first attempt at something this intricate. Hopefully, the next will be up to snuff.

Most sewing shops will have MOP and abalone buttons - you could make dots from these as well - check in your home town, then you dont have to support WM.

Not on hand - I'll try to take one this weekend.

The idea came from Frank Finocchio. I did my guitar this way during his class.

Where are you in PA?
