The Genesis is my latest design and will be my signature model. I was going to make it a little larger than a SJ but at the last minute decide to go with a smaller body. 20" body length and 16" lower bout.

The shape is pretty original, I hope you can get an idea with this pictures.
The mold had to be modified to fit the new size and doesn't fit perfectly but after this one I'll make another mold!

Sorry, its all I have at this time. The kerfed liner is gluing as I type this....

What do you think?peterm38886.0586689815

Peter,

I really like the "round" look of the lower bout. Can't wait to see more.

What kind of wood is that? Looks a lot like pau ferro.

Best,

Michael

Really nice shape, with just enough of a cutaway, sort of like a cutaway for people that don't like cutaways (does that make sense?). Do you use spreaders in the upper and lower bout?

Yes, that's a beautiful shape. Very nice. Looking forward to seeing this one progress.

I don't quite follow you; the mold in the pictures for another shape, and you will make a new mold for this shape after the instrument is done?

Arnt, when I first designed this guitar it was supposed to be a larger guitar. So I made a mold for it. then I changed my mind and decided to make the guitar a little smaller, so I modified the mold so I can still use it!
Later, I will make another mold with the exact specs for a "perfect" fit!

Guys, thanks for the words or encouragement!
