Dave,

Welcome to the OLF, glad you identified those guitars. Now, unfortunately, you need to post more pictures of them! They look fantastic. Did they go to a new home?

Jeff

Yeah, Dave--

Tell us more about the guitars, and certainly more about yourself.

Welcome, and Howdy!

Steve

Well lets see if this works. I am not a photographer so must appologize in advance.

This one is Madagascar Rosewood Back And Sides obtained from Grant Goltz with a NW White Spruce Top almost too fine of grain to count. It has Flamed Koa binding and paua Abalone purfling, back strip, and rosette. The pickguard comes from Andy DePaule.

This one belongs to a local Bluegrass player and is approx two years old.

This one is Oregon Myrtle Back And Sides with a 40 Year old German Spruce Top. It has Bloodwood binding and Chevron type purfling and backstrip, with a clear Mylar Pickguard.

this one belongs to a local Friend and Amplifier builder and is approx 6 months old.

I had to beg the owners to let me take to GAL Convention as I usually don't have any guitars available.

I have been building about 12 Years and have built approx. 50 instruments, from Electric Guitars, Mandolins, An Archtop Guitar, a Ukulele and the rest Flat Top Steel Strings. I am most comfortable building Flat Top Steel String Guitars and discourage other orders unless I need groceries or wood or tools

Hope this helps identify the "Mystery" Guitars.

I also plan to participate more now that I know a little about how to work this forum

Thanks so much for the nice comments. Now I have to bring myself to take them back to the owners

Dave,

Are you any relation to the jazz guitarist Gene Bertoncini? Welcome, BTW! Nice guitars!

Serge
Now if I only had time to update it.

Carlton
I don't know of being a relation to Gene...but is quite an unusal name, so probably somewhere along the way.

Hesh
Ronny seems quite nice to me also, but have never met him in person...but he really likes his guitar, so can't be all bad.

Dave
