Does anyone notice anything unusual about this set?

Looks four piece to me Bob, but none the worse for that. I wouldn't mind building with it! Torres used multi piece backs on a lot of his guitars.

Yep, if it wasn't for the shorter board on the bottom right, it would be very difficult to pick. Looks great regardless.

Cheers

Colin your right on my friend. I just wanted to see if it looked OK. These boards had such nice figure that I couldn't pass them up. So 4 pc. backs it is. Should look super under a finish.
Thanks to all.

Looks great, Bob. Good job on the 4-piece match up. I'd be thrilled to build a guitar out of a set like that.

There is something else somewhat unusual that I notice, but it is probably more a reflection of my mind than anything else. Look right in the middle of the lower bout, where the two halves join. That's all I'm gonna say...

Again with the zoot-blot...

I swear a whole psychological study could be conducted on members of this forum..."Tell me, what do you see when you look at this zoot?"

There was no tub of lard as I prize so I assumed that the wood itself was the prize. Now I see it for sale on Bob's site. .

Four piece back, that's nothing, my usual ones have 16 piece backs!

Actually Prosac the drug most prescribed by Physchiatrists has proven to be very effective against WAS and TAS. It helps the "I don't care" "I'm not going to worry about it" attitude trmendously.

These guys are just trying to be nice and not hurt your feelings.
It really looks bad and, as has been said many times, send it to me and I will dispose of it properly.

I like that zoot, but I'm wondering how is that likely to look under a finish? Will it darken a lot, a little?
