O.K., maybe not, but now that I have your attention...

Here are a few progress pics of no. 2. Like Michael Payne said, I too think that EIR takes to French Polishing like crazy.

In this first shot I've laid down a wash coat on the back and sanded it back very lightly with 600 grit. The sides have just received their first 'session'.





These next shot are after two 'sessions'.





All in all, I am very pleased with the way things are coming along. I think the koa binding really brings out the lighter golden hues in the EIR...

Joe, this is my second try at FP. I finished my first that way as well. I have not tried anything else but after my paint booth is completed (the next job after this guitar is done) I want to try my hand at catalized polyurethane.

Dave, I filled in the pores with System Three. I just love the stuff. I'm sold on epoxy fillers but I must admit I'm very curious about the egg white thread started by Paul Woolson...

John, don't tease me like that! I'll start to think you're actually serious! I found that FP isn't actually that bad at all, it's the prep work that kills me!

Russel, I'm thinking the few years that Hesh spent over the pond are slowly creeping back into his psyche! Maybe like an acid trip 'flashback'...

Yeah, you did tell me so bud!    i guess i had put pressure on my shoulder to finish mine during my last vacation week but there is always future projects that will need your expertise!

Looks very good Alain.Only your 2nd try, You're getting good at it. I got to try out a little F.P. at ASIA in Ron Fernandez' class.It turned out good but I'll stick with Nitro for now.
I love the look of your Koa bindings with the RW.
