I am not sure if this is at all possible, but thought I would ask as we have a lot of people who know all about science here, is there any material that a magnets field will not pass through ?

Russell, what you need is a variation on the Faraday cage, or more simply just keep them in a steel box. I would suggest that you wrap them in kitchen paper first so that they are easier to remove them from the box!

It is visually more fun on the monitor

Supposedly, one should keep them close to the wallet, close to the credit card actually for an hour before the metal

If you store them next to your wifes credit cards/atm cards it slows them
down but doesn't stop them!!!!!!
