Shawn, I'm building a blackwood OM right now with wood that I got from Barry. He's a real nice guy and has some great wood for sale on eBay from time to time.

Turns out Taraire is kiwi wood not aussie..
It's an acacia so it should be similar to koa and tas blackwood.

If anyone is looking at purchasing some Australian Tonewoods,I can also vouch for Barry Kerr from Woodtone Guitars.
I did a couple of guitar building courses with him,he's a nice fellow.
He has some amazing rare woods eg
Blackheart Sassafras
Flame Myrtle
King William
Houn Pine
Queensland cedar
