[QUOTE=MSpencer] I was curious as to how anyone would know what you get in the mail or via UPS or courier delivery? My guys here just deliver the mail, I get stuff in from Canada pretty regular, never run across this "duty" thing. I have mailed stuff to Canada as well from here and nobody says or ask anything. Just trying to figure out how this works

Mike (and other Canadians),
See Natalie's (also from LMI) post below. As she said, we can not guarantee that packages will be delivered without duties, customs and taxes -but often they are not added. We have no conrol over it and as Nat said, it seems to be happening a bit more often.
The good news is that we are now using a great new delivery service to Canada. Very quick (just a few days), just a bit more expensive than the post (which can take up to 2 weeks) and far less expensive than UPS and FedEx!
We love our Canadian customers and do everything we can to earn their business!

Chris and Nathalie, thanks for your excellent service, if i remember correctly, i wasn't charged for duties when i last ordered from your store and i look forward to encourage you folks again!

Shawn, you described the sentiment that is well spread among us builders, we all owe a big thanks to Lance and Brock for how they manage this great place of ours! I feel we do have to encourage every single one of our fine sponsors as the budget allows it, we really are priviledged here!

Chris and everyone at LMI -

Welcome! And thanks for being an OLF sponsor, as well as a great supplier whose service I've greatly appreciated for several years now.

Shawn, my sentiments exactly.

Now Harry, I am with you all the way regarding your enthusiasm to welcome LMI to the OLF, but that remark of yours about beer, now that was bordering on BLASPHEMY!

Welcome Chris and the rest of the LMI clan, thanks for your help in the past and I look forward to doing business again in the future

Cheers

Kim

I have always recieved excellent service from LMII, and even though I am surely not one of their biggest customers Chris remembered me when we met at ASIA last year and it was a pleasure to meet him face to face and talk.

Welcome LMII!

Yes, LMI is known for there great service and dealing with problems.

Speaking of problems...

Hey Chris,

I ordered a set of SE Asian Rosewood around 6 years ago, and the sides came to me a little bit split. Can you send me a new set?

Kidding....just kidding.

Welcome aboard LMI!

I was wondering why you weren't a sponsor yet, glad to have you here. Hope to do business with you again real soon.

Those complimentary tortise guitar picks are great!

Chris-LMI

Thanks for responding, I'm a Texan, not Canadian, but I like my Canadian friends. I am used to your quick and excellent service, and love doing business with you guys. I am just not familiar with the duty situation.
I think it is really great that you guys have come on board with the OLF. I just hate that my friends in Canada have to pay these premiums to get goods, I thought we had more transparency between Canada and the US on exchange of goods. I always considered them a suburb.....
