I guess the other thing you should check is what scale length the body is built for. It's possible you could have the right fretboard and the wrong neck.
Good Luck

It looks like 14" from nut to 14th fret.

Its 12 5/8" to 12 fret.

It looks like the top was cut for a long scale. Thats why the roset joint is uncovered at the end of the fingerboard. The longscale board will cover that.

Jim

Edit: oops, you could be right.

Yup, looks like a long scale FB on a neck meant for something else. All agree? Wonder what the neck was for?

Guys, guys,..... no need to speculate! grab a phone and a tape measure and call John Hall. He is the best authority on this kit. If there was a mistake in the assembly of parts for this kit I am sure he will make it more than right.

Thanks,

The pin is to locate the fingerboard properly and keep it in alignment when glueing it to the neck. If the fingerboard has holes in it that fit over the pins in the neck, and the fingerboard does NOT meet the body at the 14th fret, then you have the wrong fret scale of the fingerboard. I have used this fingerboard / neck combination numerous times, and it looks like the fingerboard is too narrow for the neck, even if you were to blend the neck and fingerboard. I'm quite certain you have the wrong fingerboard.

Hmmm, I did request a 1 11/16" FB. I wanted a narrow FB.

John is working on it.
