How do you like to see it? Having this discussion with a buddy today...the situation is that the neck block/paddle arrangement is already in place...the UTB should have the paddle butting right into it to counter any rotational action of the fingerboard extension/upper bout under string tension...thing is, with the length of the paddle, butting the UTB against it means the brace runs into the "inside" edge of the cutaway...not all the way across into the "point"...the point does have a fair amount of "meat" at the tip tho...any ideas, wisdom, etc.?

I'd angle the UTB like Jim does. There's been some recent discussions about leaving the end of the neck block tougue short of the UTB anyway. You could probably take some kind of hand saw and cut it at an angle to fit after it's in anyway.
