There must be a way to build a go bar deck to prevent the go bars to leave the deck, maybe planks around the top or bottom...just thinking out loud here but i will be thinking further more...

Yup. Still have a bit of a dent in the forehead. Fortunately my glasses for vision ARE safety glasses!

un-bound springs. I have read somewhere that you want 8lbs/sqin clamping force but I think that even may be exsesive. In my mind anything that overcomes the surface tention of the glue and holds the brace flush to the top or back would seem to get the job done. When I first started using a gobar deck I thought I needed aout 2" of bow in the bars. now I rig up so that I get about 1/2"-1" bow.

I have been popped in the mouth twice by bars letting loose so I guess a sports mouth piece may be a good piece of PPE (personal protective equipment) too MichaelP38881.4001851852

How steady is your go-bar deck? I originally just used all-thread as the "columns" in mine, pretty wobbly. I was also using 1/4" rods which I think are too stiff for go-bars, so it was pretty precarious. I cut some 2" PVC pipe on a miter saw to use for the columns, and just used the all-thread to tighten up the upper and lower deck to the PVC. I also switched to 3/16" rods. Huge, huge difference, way more stable. I'm still planning on doubling the thickness of the upper deck so I can use more go-bars at the same time.

How about a bunch of bungy cords hooked onto the vertical rods, creating a mesh of sorts - the problem is you need to get in there and be able to manipulate the rods.

Mine is three layers on the bottom, two on the top, with steel conduit covering the all-thread. Built like a tank.
The conduit is countersunk 3/4" into the top and bottom also.

I did the same as Jon, and need to add thickness like Ron's.

Just got my new batch of 3/16" fg rods. The accumulated force from the 1/4" ones when gluing plates was just too scary.

    I was thinking, go-bars could probably be restrained by some light cord attached to one end if it gets too hairy!
